Save filtered record views
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Saved views preserve list filters, selected columns and sorting for repeated record work. Private, team and organization visibility determines who can use the view definition, while record and field permissions still determine the returned data.
Purpose
Section titled “Purpose”Create a repeatable operational list such as qualified Leads or open Deals assigned to a team.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”-
Access to the record module and the saved-view action.
-
A permitted sharing scope.
Procedure
Section titled “Procedure”-
Open the target record list and choose Filters and views.
-
Build the required conditions using the available fields and operators. Keep the query focused on the business task.
-
Select the useful columns and sort order, then preview the list results.
-
Save the view with a meaningful name and choose the allowed private, team or organization visibility.
-
Select the saved view from the list’s View control. Use favorite/default options where offered.
-
Duplicate the definition for another purpose rather than silently changing a shared view used by colleagues.
Expected result
Section titled “Expected result”The named view reapplies its definition to the current authorized data.
Important notes
Section titled “Important notes”-
Hidden custom fields remain hidden even when referenced by a shared definition.
-
A view is a query, not a frozen audit report.
-
Exports use the authorized query and remain subject to export limits.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”-
A saved filter stops working: a field may have been retired or its permissions changed.
-
Unexpected empty result: reset filters, check owner/team conditions and verify the data type used by the condition.
